“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”
(Proverbs 3:5 ESV)
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your justice as the noonday.”
(Psalm 37:4-6 ESV)
Life gets rough. Life is hard at times. We get into a self-centered mode and camp there for a while. Pastor made the statement yesterday that it’s not all about me. She directed it to everyone, but it hit home with me.
I have been going through a rough patch lately and have been very self-centered. My mind has been focused on me and my problems. My prayers have been focused on me for the most part. I should have instead given my concerns and problems to God and walked away from them. But I didn’t. I hung onto them for whatever reason. God is patient. But I can see Him shaking His head at my insistence on trying to solve them myself. Did it work out for me? Nope. Not until I allowed God to take them, and I walked away from them.
God is more than able to take our problems and provide the solutions. That’s just what He does, and the sooner we get it through our heads, the better off we will be. So if you have problems, give them to God and walk away from them.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
