How many people would love to see the moon up close, even once in their lifetime! Or better yet, we all long for the adventure of stepping foot on that extraterrestrial body; but only a very small few have ever had the privilege.
Fortunately for all of us, there are pictures. Yet even those pictures are hard to access.
I was blessed in early March 2020. The global pandemic hadn’t yet struck full-force, and my wife and I, still oblivious to the way the world was going, found ourselves in a museum on the University of Arizona Campus. A friendly guide met us at the door, showed us around the small room, and then left us to leisurely peruse the thousands of actual moon photos. She told me I could take as many pictures as I wished, and I took her up on her offer. I must have taken over 100 pictures of those photos. Some of those pictures were zoomed way out, and some were close up. I was on cloud 9 for sure. I found myself thanking my Heavenly Father for opening the door of opportunity for me to have this rare experience, to come as close as possible to fulfilling my dream to see the moon. I will never forget this experience, and best of all, I have all my photos to remind me of it!
Even more, this experience reminds me of how I would like to be closer and closer to my Heavenly Father. One day I will be in Heaven. I will be so happy. My Heavenly Father cares for me. He cares for you as well! He loves us so much. He says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” (Isaiah 43:2 NIV)
What is the desire of your heart? No matter how big or small, ask! “You do not have because you do not ask God.” (James 4:3 NIV). God will listen, for He cares for you. Remember how He sees us? “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Cor. 6:18 NIV) Just ask Him, then experience how much He cares for you!
In His love,
