But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
(Romans 5:8 ESV)
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
(John 13:34 ESV)
What exactly is love? You hear people tell each other they love them. But what is love?
According to AI Overview “Love is a profound emotion characterized by strong feelings of affection, attachment, and devotion. It encompasses a wide range of human experiences—from deep interpersonal bonds and romantic passion to selfless care for others and simple pleasures.
The concept of love varies greatly depending on the context and the relationship:
1. Romantic Love: A passionate, intimate attraction typically mingled with sexual desire and deep emotional attachment.
2. Familial Love: The affectionate, protective bond between family members, such as a parent and child.
3. Platonic Love: A deep, non-sexual friendship rooted in mutual respect, shared interests, and platonic affection.
4. Self-Love: The regard, care, and appreciation one has for their own well-being and identity.
5. Universal Love: A broad sense of empathy, altruism, and benevolent concern for the welfare of others and humanity as a whole.”
In my opinion, the best kind of love comes from Jesus. He loves each of us unconditionally, now and forever. The love Jesus has for us is a pure, undiluted love. He never makes excuses or avoids you. He actually will seek you out to tell you He loves you.
I want to encourage everyone to seek the kind of love Jesus has for us and then spread it around to others. Let’s get the world happy and in love with Jesus.
Have a blessed day everyone.
