Be Like the Children

by | Feb 28, 2024 | Faith, Surrender, Trust

“And said, ‘Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.'”

(Matthew 18:3 ESV)

“But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.’”

(Matthew 19:14 ESV)

“Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”

(Luke 18:17 ESV)

I went to town yesterday. I just happened to go by the grade school. The little kids were out playing. I love to watch the little ones play. They don’t seem to have a care in the world. They know their parents and teachers are watching over them.

They have a child like faith that they will be ok. We need that kind of faith. I need that kind of faith. We need the kind of faith that nothing can rattle us. We need to take a lesson from the little ones. Whenever the little ones have a problem, they run to their parents. We need to do that, too. We need to run to our Heavenly Father.

How do we achieve childlike faith? Good question. If you have the answer, please share it with me. It seems like the older I get, the more set in my ways I become. I need to change that. We need to run to the Father before a problem can rattle us. We need that child like faith. We need to have total trust in God to deal with whatever comes along.

So let’s all try to trust God more and our feelings less.

Have a blessed day, everyone.
