Hungering for Love: Experiencing Our Heavenly Father, Part 11

I remember how kids enjoy singing “Jesus loves me, this I know…” They love this song! And when you meditate upon the wotds, you understand why. It truly sums up the gospel. God loves us enough to make a way.

Kids Love God, and they are not ashamed to sing this song. In fact, they are proud to sing it. And just bring these same kids into a retired home and have them sing this song. It will change the atmosphere. Most of the patients will be smiling and singing along with the children.

One time some adults brought this, and other “children’s” Christian songs, into a mental institution. As the days passed, the patients started to sing along. It wasn’t long before several mentally ill patients began to show improvement in their mental functioning. Many were able to be transferred out of the wards for the mentally ill and onto self-care wards. Why? Because of these simple children’s songs of the love of our Heavenly Father touches hearts! Even the ones in the mental ward!

Everybody hungers for genuine love. Evrn you and I. Do you truly believe that our Heavenly Father loves you? After all, Jesus came to our earth with one purpose: To love everyone genuinely. And THAT includes YOU!

I will share a Bible verse that has truly changed my life. I encourage you to read it over and over, to meditate on its Truths. You will be amazed about God’s love, and even if you have made some bad decisions, you will begin to realize how much God loves and forgives you when you ask. After all, he is nuts about you!

Here is the Bible verse: “Now to him who is able to do Immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Eph 3:20-21, NIV).

May we learn that our Father is on our side. Jesus came to this earth just for you. He died on the cross so that you could live forever. All you need to do is to accept that genuine love of our Heavenly Father. What great love this is!

Do you feel comfortable singing Jesus Loves Me? Remember: Jesus would sing it just for you!
