For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

What does freedom mean to you?

According to AI Overview “Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, and live without hindrance, restraint, or external coercion.”

Freedom to me is not being afraid of anything. Am I totally free? No. But I’m working on it. God created us to be His children and as His children we should be free. But the devil has other plans. He doesn’t want us free. He wants us held in bondage. He wants us so distracted that our focus is not on God but on worldly things. 

The devil knows his time is getting short. He knows Jesus is coming back soon. So he is working hard to take away our freedom to worship, freedom to speak about our love for God.   

The devil wants us bound up so tight we can’t focus on God or serve God. If we are bound we can’t hear God like we need to.

So today, I encourage you to break the chains bidding you. As our country celebrates our 250th anniversary this weekend (USA), celebrate your freedom from the devil.
