Keeping Your Joy

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

(Romans 15:13 ESV)

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

(Psalm 16:11 ESV)

How have you been coping during all this crazy white stuff on the ground? Do you have cabin fever yet? I have been keeping myself busy but it has set in a bit. I have been combating cabin fever by crafting, reading my Bible and praying. I think that’s a pretty good use of my alone time.

I’ve done a lot of scrolling on Facebook too. Most people are taking this is stride but some are only complaining. Instead of complaining, do something constructive. Find a hobby. Read the Bible. Clean your home. Do something to keep your mind off your problems. Do whatever you have to in order to keep your joy. Being filled with joy is way better than being bitter or angry.

God wants us to be happy not mad. Joy is a lot more fun than being mad anyway. So the next time you find yourself getting angry, stop and think about it. Then find your joy again.

Have a great day everyone.
