Let all that you do be done in love.

(1 Corinthians 16:14 ESV)

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

(1 Corinthians 13:4-8 ESV)

According to Oxford Languages, love is, “an intense feeling of deep affection.”

What is love to you? To me, it is my kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids telling me they love me. It’s their hugs and kisses. I watch two of my great-grandkids during the week. They are good kids. I love to craft with them. I get hugs and kisses. Rowyn will climb up on the arm of my recliner just to be close to me. That’s love to me.

And while they all love me and I love them, Jesus loves me even more. And that is what I and every one of you need. Jesus loves us so much. In His eyes we are perfect. His love for us is perfect. So the next time you feel unloved, sit down beside Jesus and let Him love on you. There’s no better feeling than to have Jesus hug you close and tell you everything will be alright.

Have a great day.
