“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.”
(James 5:13 ESV)
“Through him, then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.”
(Hebrews 13:15 ESV)
I heard a song yesterday called, “Hallelujah Amen, sung by Nathaniel Bassey:
“We join heaven to sing.
A chorus to our King.
The One who was and is.
Who was and is to come.
And every eye will see.
The glory of our King.
Forever, we will sing.
This song of victory.
We join heaven to sing.
We sing a chorus.
A chorus to our King.”Hallelujah Amen
Do you sing praises to God? What? You can’t sing? Of course you can. I was told by my dad as I was growing up that I couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket. I believed him as most kids believed their parents. He lied. I can sing. It may not be the prettiest or always on key, but I can sing.
I do my best singing in my car or when I’m alone at home. For some reason, I have felt more like singing the past few days. I have been by myself, no distractions. So I have been singing to my Heavenly Father.
In my defense, nowhere in the Bible does it say you have to have a beautiful voice. It does say make a joyful noise. And I have been joyful. So, I want to encourage you to remove distractions and sing joyfully to God. He will love it. I guarantee it.
God bless each of you, and have a beautiful day.
