Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
(James 1:12 ESV)
As you go through life, things come up, things happen. It’s how you handle those things that counts. When you go through rough times, how do you handle it? Do you bottle it all up until you explode? Or do you turn to God?
We had an issue in town the other day. A report of an active shooter at the school. I heard reports from people who heard parents praying for the kids and teachers. No one was hurt. Prayer really does work.
We all go through things that will either tear us down or build up our faith. I can’t tell you how often the devil comes after me. He doesn’t like me but I don’t like him either. There are times when I let things get to me. I struggle for awhile then remember that God is waiting for me to put it in His very capable hands. After doing that, I can let it go with the confidence that He is taking care of it.
Next time you go through problems, turn to God first. Don’t struggle with it, let God handle it. You will feel a whole lot better.
Have a blessed day.
