And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by
himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone.

(Matthew 14:23 ESV)

Have you ever just wanted to be by yourself for awhile? Maybe be away from the crowd?

I had a day like that yesterday. I spent the day by myself. I had alone time. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I was doing things, but it was just me and God yesterday. It was a very nice day.

According to AI Overview, “Solitude means the state of being alone, often by choice and in a peaceful way.” That describes my day yesterday. Peaceful. In the alone time, God can be found easier. When all is quiet, I can hear God talking more clearly because my focus is not on other things. My focus is on God.

That’s how it should be. We should be focused on God and not the world. God wants our attention to be on Him. Next time you find yourself drifting, go someplace quiet and get alone with God. He will never steer you wrong.

Have a blessed day, everyone.
