We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain.
(Hebrews 6:19 ESV)
There’s a song, “The Anchor Holds.”
“The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn.”The Anchor Holds, by Lawrence Chewning and Ray Boltz
Is your anchor holding? Are you battered, your sails torn? I think a lot of us are nowadays.
I put my faith in my anchor, my rock, Jesus. He holds me tightly as the storms of life batter me. But my anchor holds tight.
It doesn’t matter what life may throw at me, as long as I have Jesus, my anchor is holding firm. Is Jesus your anchor? Is He holding you tight against the storms of life?
Just keep holding on. Jesus will never let you go. He loves you and is holding you tight. So let the storm rage, my anchor is holding me safely in His arms.
