You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

(Isaiah 26:3 ESV)

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

(Matthew 5:9 ESV)

I was up early yesterday morning to get the grandkids. I knew it was supposed to rain and possibly storm. We had a tornado warning. The siren was going off and both of my daughters called to check on me. I was fine. I had already prayed. I had peace.

It can be surprising what goes through your mind during a storm. The devil tried to bring up old feelings from my childhood. I hated storms, I was terrified of them. Now I like to watch them. But God gives me peace now. He has taken away the fear and replaced it with peace. He will do it for you too if you ask Him to.

God is not a respector of persons. If He does it for one, He will do it for you, too. I know I harp on this a lot but apparently someone wasn’t listening. God loves you. He loves you unconditionally. He always has and always will.

So next time you are feeling, anxious, nervous, upset, afraid, scared and any more descriptive words you can think of, give it to God. Pray for peace. Pray for peace. One more time, pray for peace!! God will give you peace. He will give you the kind of peace that can only come from Him. So don’t be afraid, scared, anxious or any of the other words. Pray and ask God for peace.

Have a fabulous day, everyone.
