Old Home Week

A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

(Proverbs 18:24 ESV)

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

(Proverbs 17:17 ESV)

This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

(John 15:12-13 ESV)

Yesterday was a long day but a fun one. I did a fairly big craft sale. I shopped but also had a table of crafts. One of my daughters spent the day with me. We shared tables. I got to spend the day with one of my great granddaughters too. And saw my other daughter. I say old home week because I saw so many people I knew. Friends from school and friends I used to work with. Bragging for a second. My newest great granddaughter came. She’s 7 months old and a sweet baby. Of course her mom was there too.

Want to know who else was there? Jesus was there with me. He heard my prayers and stayed with me all day. He helped me see the joy in the day. He brought people around who bought and some who just wanted to just look or talk. He showed me things I would have just went on past. If I had went on past, I would have missed talking to a long lost friend or making a new connection. 

I want to encourage all reading this to stop and look around occasionally. Jesus just might be trying to get your attention to show you something.
