For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
(Philippians 2:13 ESV)
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
(Jeremiah 29:11 ESV)
And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
(Romans 8:28 ESV)
I was scrolling through the internet. I came across this prayer from Joyce Meyer:
“Lord, thank You for working in my life even when I don’t see it. Help me stay thankful, trust Your timing, and believe for the victories You’ve promised, amen.”
This prayer got me thinking. God really does work things out.
I had some heart-related tests done yearly. No problems, just yearly checks. The office blocked out 2 hours for the tests. Together they took about 20 minutes. Then I was to see my cardiologist after lunch. My granddaughter went with me. We planned to go stroll around Walmart for a while to kill time. After I got dressed, they put me in another room. My cardiologist had some spare time and saw me then. We were home long before my actual appointment with the doctor. I had asked God if He could get my appointment moved up so we didn’t have to be gone all day. Well, God did it! He got my appointment changed. God is so good.
How many times does God do things for us that we don’t even realize He did? Have you ever been walking out the door and something happened to delay you? Maybe that was God delaying you long enough to prevent an accident or something. God is always working on our behalf. Most of the time we may not even realize it. So just thank God when something comes you have been asking for. Or you get something unexpectedly.
Thank God. And don’t forget to keep trusting Him. He really does have our best interests at heart.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
