Can’t Steal My Joy

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

(Romans 15:13 ESV)

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

(Romans 12:12 ESV)

There’s a song called, “Can’t Steal My Joy” by Josiah Queen:

“What the world couldn’t give, no, it can’t take away.
Sorrow may come but it can’t steal my joy,
Can’t steal my joy.
In the high highs, in the low lows.
You fill my cup, You fill it up until it overflows.
I remember, I’ll keep holding on to hope.
‘Cause you’re the King of rolling stones.”

Can’t Steal My Joy by Josiah Queen

Has your joy been stolen? What do you do to get it back?

The devil has been fighting me a lot lately. I will admit I got discouraged for a while. But then I realized what was going on. I can be a little dense sometimes. I fought my way back from that discouragement. I prayed, I praised, and prayed some more.

What brings you joy? For me, it’s my family and friends. Learning a new craft or working on a favorite one. What brings me joy mostly is time with my Heavenly Father. One-on-one time with a Father who loves more than anyone else does. A Father who will take time to listen to me complain or whine. Then when I’m done, take the time to talk about it.

Whenever you have a problem, take it to your loving Heavenly Father. Talk it out with Him. You’ll feel better.

Have a great day, everyone.
