Letters to God

“And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

(Mark 11:25 ESV)

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

(1 John 1:9 ESV)

I watched the movie Letters to God yesterday. I’ve seen it before, but it really hit me hard yesterday. Things can change suddenly. A bad situation can become better. But it can also get worse.

This movie prompted me to write my own letter to God. Here it is:

Dear God, Sometimes I wonder where you are. There are times I just don’t feel you near. Lord, I need you with me every second of every day. Lord, I repent. I ask for your divine peace and forgiveness. Lord, show me how to forgive someone who has taken advantage of me. Lord, show others your love through me. Lord, change me into what I am supposed to be in your plan for my life. Lord, I surrender everything to you.  Lord, cleanse me, change me, mold me. I give myself to you. In Jesus’ name, amen.

This was written with a few tears straight from my heart. If there are things going on in your life, write your own letter to God. Pour out your heart to our Father. He’s listening.

Have a good day, everyone.
