“And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.”
(Psalm 9:10 ESV)
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him, my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song, I give thanks to him.”
(Psalm 28:7 ESV)
Does your soul need healed? What does it mean to heal your soul? A story about a person was told in church today. This person attended healing meetings. This person wasn’t healed. I don’t remember the whole story, but this person wasn’t healed, not because God didn’t want to, but because she needed her soul healed.
I pondered on that on the way home as I ate my luke-warm fries (I need to stop going to that MacDonalds). So I finally asked God if my soul needed healing. He said I could stand to spend a little (or a lot) more time with Him. So that is what I plan on doing. I turned off the boob tube (TV) and pulled out my Bible. I plan to start where I left off this morning.
As I am writing this (Sunday evening about 7 p.m.). I have a wonderful peace about me right now. God started talking. He wants to take me to a higher place. But as with every trip, it always starts with the first step. He said to, “Take a deep breath. Now take the first step. Don’t be afraid because I will be with you every step of the way.” This is the first step to healing my soul. The first step is to spend more time with God in the Word. Listen for His voice. He wants to guide me as I take this journey.
So as I reach out my hand for God to take and lead me, I encourage you to do the same. He’s waiting for you to reach out and say, “God, I need you.”
Have a fabulous day, everyone.
