“And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised since God had provided something better for us that apart from us, they should not be made perfect.”

“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!”

(Psalm 37:7 ESV)

I was waiting for a delivery yesterday. It was promised at a certain time. It was 2 1/2 hours late. That’s how some things are. You wait and wait and then wait some more. 

There is also waiting on God. God doesn’t promise immediate answers. He does promise He will answer in due time. Always remember that God’s timing is always perfect. God is never late. He may be a little last minute, but He’s never late. God is the best thing to ever happen to me. He is always there no matter what I may need or even want. He never leaves me hanging. He never makes me hurry and wait. 

If you don’t believe me, try it. Ask God for something. If it is in His will for you, it will come. But if He doesn’t want you to have it, don’t get discouraged. He may just have something better for you.
