1000 Channels and Nothing to Watch

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV)

“But he answered, ‘It is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”’” (Matthew 4:4 ESV)

My cable company did away with cable boxes and went to fire sticks. So I did away with my cable channels and now stream. And there’s still nothing worth watching. I was flipping through the different apps I have last night and did find a good movie call 5000 Blankets. Look it up on pureflix. But after that nada, zip, zilch. So I took a nap. When I woke up the same nonsense was on. It was a short nap. Way too short. So I decided to get out a good book and read. By good book I mean the Bible. I should be at church but haven’t been sleeping well since Friday. But that’s not important now.

Pull out your Bible. You will find anything you want to read. Adventure. How about Joseph? Remember him? He was sold into slavery by his own brothers. Incredible tales? Jonah living in the belly of the whale comes to mind. Incredible feats? Noah building the ark. And then surviving with all those animals for so long and not getting eaten by the lions. Tales of romance? How about Adam and Eve–The Original Biblical Romance. Abram and Sarai. Isaac and Rebekah. The Jacob, Rachel, Leah love triangle. Just to name a few. There’s even horror. Read Revelation if you want a good scare if you aren’t saved.

So you see? Pick up the Good Book and read a good story.

P.S. They are all true stories and can change your life.

Have a great day everyone.

Have a great day.
