Faith Like Daniel

“My God sent his angel and shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless before him; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm.”

Daniel 6:22 ESV)

“Then the king commanded, and Daniel was brought and cast into the den of lions. The king declared to Daniel, ‘May your God, whom you serve continually, deliver you!’”

(Daniel 6:16 ESV)

How’s your faith? Are you standing strong in the midst of the storm? If not, read Daniel in the Bible. Read about what he went through. While the Jews were in Babylon, Daniel continued to pray to God even though the king had forbidden it. Daniel did not try to hide his faith. He prayed 3 times a day with the windows open. When it was discovered he was still praying to God, he was thrown in the lion’s den.

I don’t think lion’s are too picky about what, or in this case, who they eat. But they left Daniel alone. Long story short, not only did Daniel not get eaten by lions, the king declared every one serve the God Daniel serves.

Now do you think that if God would send an angel to shut the lion’s mouths to save Daniel, will He do it for us? Of course He will. We may not be facing literal lions, but some of the cares of this world feel like it sometimes. Bills piling up, COVID not going away, lingering illness from the virus, aches and pains or whatever lions you are facing. God will take care of them. No matter how big or how small, God can, and will, handle it. All we have to do is ask.

God says “we have not because we ask not.” So let’s start asking. Ask for those bills to be paid. While you’re asking, ask for an abundance of finances. What have you got to lose except a pile of bills, healed or whatever you ask for. God isn’t broke, He has what you need. And He already knows what you need before you ask. So start asking. But don’t forget to thank Him too.

Have a great day.
