Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:6-7 ESV)
1. When you want to give up, prayer gives you the power to rise above and keep going. How many times have you ever just wanted to throw your hands up and quit? More times than I count for sure. But did you give up? Or did you turn to prayer and ask Jesus for help?
2. When you want to strike back and be mean, prayer gives you the power to be kind. Kindness is always the answer. Don’t say something in anger because the words you say can never be taken back.
3. When you are uncertain about what to do, prayer gives you wisdom. These are uncertain times we are living in. We need to turn to Jesus for help. He will give you the wisdom on how to keep going.
4. When you want to hold a grudge, prayer gives you the power to forgive. Forgiveness is always a good thing. But remember that while someone may forgive, they don’t always forget. The only person who also forgets is God. Once you repent, He no longer remembers. The devil is who keeps bringing it back up to you.
5. When you are sad or hurt, prayer gives you God’s comfort and love. There is no sweeter place to be than in the comfort of Jesus’s arms, surrounding by His unfailing love.
I guess what I am trying to say is this. Don’t stop praying. The world needs us to keep praying. We need to pray for each other and the circumstances that surround us each day. Pray for God’s protection. He loves us and will always take care of us.
Have a blessed day, everyone. Jesus loves you and so do I.
