Who Is This Woman?

by | Jun 5, 1998 | Christ-in-me, Christ-in-us, New Life, Poem

She stares back at me, weary and wise;
yet chosen. A Mother, a Daughter/Sister/
friend. Committed to the Lord, audibly
spoken. Scarred, bruised heart beaten
down. Willing to stand for the Truth;
her legacy to her children. Made humble
in HIS Presence, for in her resignation,
the heart of who she once was; trans-
formation. Made new according to HIS
Promises, she embraces the future;
even though her heart has been broken.

Following her Purpose, in HIS Plan, the
safety of those walls surrounding her
heart shattered. Like an infant, pure
emotion, wonder and joy she finds this
world, this life, this person, this face,
fascinating! Who will she grow to be?

He who was seated on the throne said,
“I am making everything new!”
Revelation 21:5
