Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
(Matthew 11:28-30 ESV)
Yesterday was a busy day. I had multiple doctor appointments and it felt like I was taking root in my car. I asked God if I could have the night off and he gave me the verse above. So on I go.
What do you do when you get so tired you just feel like you can’t go on? Do you just stop or do you give it to God and go on? I have done both. But I find that giving it to God is really the best thing to do. God is willing to take our burdens. He let’s us lean on Him until we are strong enough to go on. It doesn’t matter if it is a short time or an extended period. We can lean on God for strength.
I want to encourage you to lean on God when you are just too tired to go on. He is waiting with open arms.
Have a blessed day.
