Help Me to Trust Again

by | Jun 4, 1999 | Poem, Trust

Help me to find my missing feet.
Teach me to trust again anyone likely to meet.
Make me stronger, shielding every harm.
Leading away every peril with your loving charm.

When the tempest rages, be my shelter out of the storm.
Teach me to trust again even during the angriest swarm.
For your mercy is the gift, freely given,
When the thunder roars, feelings often riven.

Teach me to trust again beyond all the pain.
Held in your embrace, guarding me from disdain.
For your endowment is my guidance, shown.
With it a more mature person is grown.

Help me to find my missing feet.
Teach me to trust again anyone likely to meet.
When the tempest rages, shelter me from the storm.
Teach me to trust, amid the angry swarm.
