You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

(John 1:5 ESV)

According to Merriam-Webster, a lighthouse is “a structure (such as a tower) with a powerful light that gives a continuous or intermittent signal to navigators.”

Do you know you can be a Lighthouse? You can be a beacon to the lost. You can let the love of God shine through you for others to see. We are to be a beacon in the dark shining bright for others to see. We need to shine the love of God. 

There are lost and hurting people out there looking for answers, looking for someone who cares enough to show them the love that God has for them. You can be that person. You can let your light shine, guiding others safely to you. 

I ask today that you be a lighthouse to the lost. Shine your light in the darkness for others to see.
