We celebrated my birthday a little early on Saturday. God blessed me way above and beyond what I expected.
As I was sitting in my recliner last night I looked up and saw the flowers sitting there. It brought to mind a request I made to God then promptly forgot about it. I mentioned in passing to God that flowers would be nice for my birthday. I got 3 bouquets. God is so good. Ask Him for what you need or want. Just remember that if the answer is no He probably has something better coming so be patient.
According to Oxford Languages, blessing means “God’s favor and protection.”
Have you ever thought that God’s protection is a blessing? I never thought about it but it could be. I consider it a blessing that I missed being in an accident. There have been times when for whatever reason I just couldn’t get my act together in time to leave. Later I found out there was a major wreck and I would have been going through there about the time it happened. I consider that a big blessing.
But what about small things? You are looking for a specific item and you find it on sale. Would you consider that a blessing? You just saved some money. God loves to bless His children. But we have a way of blocking those blessings. The devil knows what is coming for us and he also knows ways to block them. He tries to discourage us and we lose faith that we need to believe. But stand your ground and make him flee.
