Let’s Go to Church

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

(Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV)

For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

(Matthew 18:20 ESV)

Do you go to church regularly? Or just if you don’t have anything else to do? Maybe a good movie or show is on at that time and you just can’t miss it. Guess what? It will come on again. The church is important. God has plans for us and we need to be in a position to hear those plans. And what better place to go than to His house to hear them?

People just don’t go to church like they used to. I’m talking to myself too. There are times I just don’t feel like making that long drive at night. But I need to. I need the church and the church needs me! We are all part of the body and when one part is gone they are missed. Church is a good place to be. The members will lift you if you’re down. A good church is a family.

It doesn’t matter if you go to a big mega-church or a small church. I have never gone to a mega church but I grew up in a big church for the town. We average 80 to 90 people on Sundays. We were a family. I didn’t know it then but the older members looked out for the kids. We were allowed to go off on our own back then. I found out years later that the older members kept an eye on the kids running around town.

We need more churches like that. We need more spirit-filled churches that don’t follow the world to get young people in.

So if you aren’t going to church, I say find one and start going. God has great things planned. Go check it out.

Have a blessed day, everyone.
