Peace and Tranquility

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

(Romans 5:1 ESV)

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

(Romans 14:17 ESV)

Are you hectically running from place to place, chasing kids or running errands, or whatever? Do you ever just stop and take a breath? Do you stop to rest?

This is a busy and hectic world we live in. People are running here and there. Rush, rush, rush. I quit working in 2002. Other than the fact I left a job I loved due to health issues, I have enjoyed leaving the rat race. I have had more time to reconnect with friends and family. But most importantly, I’ve had more time to reconnect with God.

I didn’t walk away from God after graduating high school. I got busy working. Or so I told myself. You can never be too busy for God. He is happy to spend any amount of time with you but He really wants you. He wants you to spend a lot of time with you because He loves you. Once I decided to reconnect with God, I have had such wonderful peace and tranquility. And it comes from God.

God’s kind of peace is like no other. I can’t explain it but it’s wonderful. I hope you find this kind of peace and tranquility in your life.

Have a great day, everyone.
