Peace Be Still

by | Feb 25, 2024 | Peace, Surrender

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

(John 16:33 ESV)

“Now, may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.”

(2 Thessalonians 3:16 ESV)

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you.”

(Isaiah 26:3 ESV)

There’s a song called, “Symphony” by Switch:

“Cause even in the madness, there is peace.
Drowning out the voices all around me.
Through all of this chaos,
You were writing a symphony, a symphony.”

The world is full of chaos. But do you know we can have peace even in the middle of it all? Jesus brings peace to us. He calms the raging storm with 3 little words. “Peace be still.”

Can you do that? Sure you can. Just ask for the kind of peace Jesus brings. It is such a wonderful feeling. It has a calming effort. No matter what is going on, the peace calms it. You will feel at peace while the rest of the world rages on.

Do you need peace today? Is there a storm raging around you? Ask Jesus for peace and let go of the storm. Let Jesus calm the storm. The title of this was going to be, “Peace in the Middle of Chaos”, but Jesus said to title it, “Peace Be Still.” I have had storms raging for a while now. But as of right now, I can smile and let go of it. Jesus has it taken care of. I may not see it yet, but it’s taken care of.

Let go of your storms. Let Jesus surround you in the peace of heaven. It’s the sweetest feeling you will ever have.

Have a blessed day, everyone.
