There are millions of words. But two little words can mean the most. Two little words can put a smile on your face. Those two little words are “thank you”.
Google defines thank you as:
“A polite expression used when acknowledging a gift, service, or compliment, or accepting or refusing an offer.”

Those two little words can mean a lot to people. They can mean a lot to God too. Do you thank God for things? I don’t mean just big things or your food either. Thank him for everything. God loves to hear us thank him for things big or small. On the rare occasions I am out at sunrise, I thank God for painting the sky so many beautiful colors and allowing me to see it. There have even been times I have thanked God just for loving me enough to provide for my needs.
Just the other night I started to run a temp about sundown and felt like I was getting sick. I took a stand against it and within 30 minutes I felt better. And yes, the first thing I did was thank God.
I thank him for everything. Good or bad, I thank Him. You may think it strange to thank Him for the bad things but I do. When the bad times I come, I thank Him for getting me through them. And He will get me through them. He will you too. Just tell Him your cares and concerns and let Him work it out for you. And when He does, don’t forget to thank Him. It’s just two little words. It will just take a few seconds to say, “Thank you God.”
Next time someone holds the door for you or someone lets you go ahead of them in a checkout lane, be sure to thank them. You might just make their day a little brighter.
