Talking to God

“My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they will never perish and no one will snatch them away.” (John 10:27-28 ESV)

“Call to me and I will answer you and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” (Jeremiah 33:3 ESV)

You know when you pass by someone and say, “Hi! How you doing?” Do you expect an answer or just keep going? I don’t really expect an answer but most times the person responds back in some way.

But there is one person I always expect an answer from. That person is God.

When I wake up every morning, the first thing I do is say hi to God and ask how He is. And He tells me. By the way He always says He is doing good.

But God will talk to us in different ways. If we aren’t listening He will send things or people to get our attention. Take Sunday for example. Church was great by the way. God really moved. I sit in corner in the very back corner of the church. No, I haven’t misbehaved and been put in time out. That just happened to be the best place for the sound equipment. Anyway, Sunday, while we were singing, the angels were there. I could hear them behind me. I have a wall behind me. How could they be behind me? It’s not the first time by the way. I reached back just to make sure the wall was still there. It was vibrating. Sure, walls vibrate. But it was only during that one song. I checked.

God got my attention. I won’t say what Je told me because it was personal but He did tell me I needed to be sharpened. I have become dull. So I am working on it. I am working on sharpening my hearing so I am better at hearing when God talks to me.

How about you? Hi! How are you doing?

Have a blessed day.
