I Pledge Alligience

“You cannot serve 2 masters at the same time. You will hate 1 and love the other, or you will be loyal to 1 and not care about the other. You cannot serve God and money at the same time.” (Matthew 6:24 ERV)

“You must decide what you are going to do. How long will you keep jumping from 1 side to the other? If the Lord is the true God, follow Him. But if Baal is the true god, then follow him.” (1 Kings 18:21 ERV)

I learned the pledge of allegiance as a young child. Back then we said it in school daily. Now days, not so much.

The world would love nothing more than to see God totally gone. But He isn’t going anywhere.

As I was researching today’s message, I found The Pledge of Allegiance to the Bible.

“I pledge allegiance to the Bible,
God’s Holy Word.
I will make it a lamp unto my feet
and a light unto my path
and will hide its words in my heart
that I might not sin against God.” (Author Unknown)

I don’t know who wrote it but I like it. I will hide its words in my heart.

God desires us to be faithful to him. He wants willing workers, not someone who goes about halfheartedly doing things. What kind of worker are you? Do you willingly go out and talk to people about God and how much he loves them? Or do you wait for someone else to do the work for you?

I have some health issues that make walking difficult most of the time. But that doesn’t mean I can help in other ways. I have some computer skills that I can use to make flyers or things for those who can walk to pass out. Even if you can’t go out and do the work, find ways to help out in those ministries.

So the question I have for you, who has your allegiance today? God or the world?

I know who has mine. God!f
