“Whoever wants to be great must become a servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not to be served–and then to give away his life in exchange for many who are held hostage” (Mark 10:43-45 MSG)
Let’s take a closer look at this text–especially vs. 45: “That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not to be served–and then to give away his life in exchange for many who are held hostage.” (MSG)
Clearly, Jesus came to our planet to save us through His death. Remember that Jesus had never sinned (See Hebrews 4:14-16). The One who knew NO sin agreed to die to save those who HAD sinned. Jesus was the only one who could do this, for everyone since Adam has sinned. And it wasn’t easy for Him because Jesus had to suffer and die. Praise God He was raised again.
Remember that no pastor, priest or saint can give you that pardon. Only Jesus. If you wish to be saved, it is not through keeping the law. You must accept Jesus’ sacrifice as your own in order to be saved! When you do, He will accept you as His own brother, and Jesus will never take your Salvation from you!
This is our Savior!
I grew up in Belgium, and since most people in Belgium are Catholic, I was raised Catholic. I remember, when I was young, my mother would send me to confession. I would be on my knees and I had to ask the priest for forgiveness. Most of the time, however, I didn’t know what to say. What I didn’t know is that only Jesus can forgive. The priest, or anyone else for that matter, can’t forgive our sin. Only Jesus.
If you have never given your life to Jesus, then come to Him with open arms and ask Him: “Jesus I made so many mistakes and sins. Jesus forgive me. I want to follow only Jesus.” It is only the precious blood of Jesus Christ that saves! Why not answer the Saviour’s Call today? It would be the best present you could ever give Jesus…
In His love,
