Away with the manger, the baby is no more;
Now stands Jesus Christ knocking at your door.
A child born in a stable He was destined to be King;
Sent by God the Father to take away death’s horrid sting.
Christmas is a reminder of our dear Savior’s birth;
He gave up all He owned, to come down to earth.
Who but the Son of God could move from stable to God’s right hand;
Washed in the blood is where someday we, too, shall stand.
Away with the manger, the baby is gone;
He is now The King who sits on the throne.
Tis the season, let’s remember what it really stands for;
The birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior, our King, our Lord.
