The Pain of His Journey

by | May 17, 2011 | Poem, Suffering

Jesus went on a journey to Heaven long ago,
After He was tortured much, but loved His people so.
The journey I shall take cannot compare to He,
Who let His life be taken, to save one like me.

He listens to our heartaches and attends to our pain.
If it need be, Jesus would let it happen again.
He loves us with a heart that is overwhelming true.
Over the years, my God I know I have hurt Thee too.

Blessed be Thy Holiest of all names Jesus Christ above.
You call on us tenderly Sweet Jesus to share our love.
Many of us do, some do not care enough, even to try.
However, we know you will forgive bye and bye.

Listen to the Disciples that worked faith with our Lord.
Blessed are the ones that were in His sweet accord.
He was hanged upon an old cross in thunder and rain.
His sting was unbearable on the journey of pain.

Being the Son of God He hung on the old rugged cross.
He died that His children would suffer no loss.
Yes, Jesus went on a journey into Heaven one spring day
Giving us a chance and taking our pain all the long way.
