Of the tricks of Satan at all.
For with our God-given power, we can be brave
And remain STANDING TALL!

Do you remember how David defeated Goliath
With five stones and a sling?
He stood confident, defying that uncircumcised giant
In the Name of God our King
And remained STANDING TALL!

We too can look the devil square in the eyes
Defying him in the Name of the Lord
Advancing on him, clothed with the Armour of Christ
Piercing his heart with our two-edged sword (God’s Word)
And remain STANDING TALL!

A strong wind will toss the reeds from side to side
And flatten it with its power
But when the wind suddenly subsides
Lo and behold, the reeds shoot up, strong as a tower
To remain STANDING TALL!

Just as those reeds are tossed about
So we too encounter winds of trials
We might be knocked down, but never out
For when the trial-winds abates, up we rise
To remain STANDING TALL!

When storm-winds of difficulties arise
Fix your eyes on Jesus. That’s all that must be done.
The battle is His, the victory yours. So be wise
Together you will defeat the evil one
And remain STANDING TALL!!!
