Reminders

The sun cast glistening white caps
Do with effervescence roar;
As each follows then another,
To quench the parched and barren shore.
Reminders of great unleashed power
Within God’s awe filled repertoire.

Billowing, tufted, white laced clouds
Transcend the heavens grand,
As filterd sun rays fall to earth
To cool the seething land.
Reminders of God’s gentleness
Induced by His own hand.

From purple mountain majesties
To the stars that reign above
Or the magic of a bird in flight,
Be it hawk or turtle dove;
Man has become but one of many
With whom God shares his love.

The sweeping wind from pole to pole;
The hurricane’s calm eye;
The swiftness of a falling star;
The vastness of the sky.
These come to us by God’s own grace,
And not from you or I.
