Dwelling in God

Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent.

(Psalm 91:9-10 ESV)

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

(Psalm 91:1 ESV)

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

(Colossians 3:16 ESV)

“The deeper we dwell in God’s word. The deeper He dwells in us.” I was sent the above by a friend.  Truer words were never said. The deeper you go in God the more He fills you. I don’t know about you but I need more of God. No more just getting by.

In the days we are living in now, we need God. Times are getting rough. Prices are going up but income isn’t. There are times I barely get by. But I know God is taking care of me because no matter how tight things seem, I always have what I need.

It’s fun watching God providing for me. He uses the most unusual people. He also uses me. He has told me to give someone some money. I look in my wallet and that is the exact amount I have. I know better to argue. He will let me keep it but I really don’t want to disappoint my Heavenly Father and miss what He has for me. You may ask how to dwell in God’s word? That is a simple question. Get a Bible and start reading. The more you read, the better you will feel.

I pull my Bible out first thing every morning and again before I go to bed. I read the Bible entirely every year. There are parts that I can sit and read for hours. My favorite book is Genesis. There is a lot of information in it. Dig deep and learn everything you can. Spend time in prayer. Just talk to God. Tell Him the desires of your heart. Or just chat with Him. He loves to talk to His children. Have a fabulous day, everyone.
