Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
(1 Peter 5:8 ESV)
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
(James 4:7 ESV)
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
(Ephesians 6:11 ESV)
Have you ever had one of those days where nothing goes right? I had one yesterday. It seemed like the whole world was against me. I had to keep fighting depression and bitterness. If my time had been up yesterday and I had gone home, my first words when face to face with Jesus would have been, “What took you so long?”
I won but it took all day. The devil is trying to discourage me. He was attacking my weight by causing me to stress eat. And he was attacking my finances yet again. I know he will never learn that I am stronger than he is. I have authority over him. But it’s his job to try to discourage me and take my focus off God.
But my focus is firmly planted on God. I know He has plans for my life and I am anxious to see what they are. But as long as God has plans for me, the devil is going to try to discourage me and try to get my focus on him instead of God. He will do the same for you too. But we have weapons. We have armor. We have the blood of Jesus. We have God on our side.
If God is for us who can be against us? And I will be victorious!!
Have a fabulous day, everyone.
