As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious,

(1 Peter 2:4 ESV)

For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in.

(Psalm 27:10 ESV)

According to Oxford Languages, rejection is, “the spurning of a person’s affections.”

Have you ever felt rejected? How do you handle it?

There have been times I have felt rejected by people. I handled it by bottling it up inside. But after a while that has serious consequences. I would either blow or avoid that person as much as possible. I have finally learned how to handle it. I pray. I take it to God. He has the answer for it.

The last time it happened, I went to God and He said the very thing I did not want to hear. He said,” Love them.” Not what I expected. But God did you see what they did to me? His reply was “yes I saw it. Love them!” So I made it a point to be nice and kind to them. A funny thing happened. We became friends.

So the next time you feel rejected, go to God and ask Him what to do about it. And then do it.

Have a great day, everyone.
