Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
(Proverbs 19:21 ESV)
The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.
(Proverbs 16:1 ESV)
And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty, I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.
(Revelation 21:6 ESV)
Think back to when you were a kid. Did you ever badger your parents for something until one said “Because I said so and I am the adult!” My brothers and I never did it because we knew what the repercussions would be. But kids nowadays do.
I watch a couple of my great-grandkids. The little girl will sometimes do that. She does it all in fun because she knows I will argue playfully back with her. We have fun arguing with each other. But what if you kept pestering God? Would He say that to you?
Yes, He would because ultimately He has the last say. You may think just because we have free will, we have the last say in things. God did give us free will but He has the last say in everything. God has the last word. And that’s fine with me.
I give God control over my life. I’m not saying I may not question His ways but I accept them no matter what. I know God loves me and has my best interest at heart. What about you? Do you give your life over to God completely? Do you question His actions? Or do you just follow Him without hesitation?
Things to think about. I hope you will spend some time getting to know God and His ways. Why? Because I said so and I’m the adult!
Have a fabulous day, everyone.
