Watch It

by | Jun 2, 2025 | Power, Victory, Words

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

(Ephesians 4:29 ESV)

Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.

(Proverbs 13:3 ESV)

I have nothing to say. I have thought about what I would write on today and came up empty. Then I stopped thinking and waited. I waited for God to tell me.  And He did. He said you remember that song yesterday morning? Write about it. The song was, “No Fear” by John Reddick:

“I got enemies at every side
It ain’t lookin’ good, I ain’t gonna lie.
Arrows flyin’, devil’s tryin’.
To make me think I’m goin’ down this time.
You might think that I’d be afraid.
Runnin’ scared with a shaken faith.
But the God I know says it ain’t over.
The God I know’s gonna make a way.
Yea, though I walk through the valley,
I will have
No fear.”

No Fear by John Reddick

I know the song talks about no fear. But what God wants you to know is to watch what comes out of your mouth. You profess fear, fear comes. You profess no money, guess what? You run short every time. The devil will take your money. You profess ill health, yep, you get sick. Watch your words, and guard your mouth. The devil loves to derail us. He uses words to do that. He uses every trick in the book. He will send someone to tell you lies. He sends his minions to cause as much trouble in our lives as he can.

So I encourage you today, to watch your words. They have more power than you know.

Have a great day, everyone.
