Good Enough for God

by | Jan 1, 2025 | Acceptance, God's Love, Self-Worth

“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?”

(1 Corinthians 3:16 ESV)

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

(Joshua 1:9 ESV)

Words of wisdom from Jed Clampett. “If we’re good enough for the Lord, we ought to be good enough for each other.”

I have known people who think they are better than me. I have also known “entitled” people. We all know the type. I went to high school with some who looked down their nose at you. But God will never do that. He loves us all too much. God is the one person who respects you and cares for you.

He is excited to hear from us. It’s like me when my kids and grandkids text or call and say hi, mom or hi grandma. So next time you run into someone who thinks they are better than you, just smile. Because you know God doesn’t love them any more than you.

Have a blessed day, everyone.
