“Even in laughter, the heart may ache, and the end of joy may be grief.”
(Proverbs 14:13 ESV)
“A glad heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart, the spirit is crushed.”
(Proverbs 15:13 ESV)
A very dear friend sent me this yesterday: “Every day offers you 10,000 reasons to cry, but if you can find one reason to laugh, then you will be alright.”
Do you have a reason to cry? Do you have a reason to laugh? We can all find reasons to cry. When we lose a loved one, when life gets hard, when a relationship falls apart. I could go on, but you probably have 10,000 reasons of your own. But how can you find reasons to laugh?
It’s easy, really. A good joke, loved ones spending time with you, life falling into place.
How about God giving you a suddenly when you didn’t expect it? He has given me some suddenlys recently. Things falling into place when I couldn’t see how. Money that came from an unknown source…. God is so good. He loves us so much. He will move heaven and earth to take care of us.
Do you need a reason to laugh? Or maybe just a reason to smile? Start talking to God. Pour your heart out to Him. Then, wait and see how He works things out for you.
Have a great day, and don’t forget to laugh.
