The word of God is true and Amen.
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: It shall not return to me void.” (Isaiah 55:11 KJV). I nor you should not therefore be afraid or discouraged, “For the LORD will personally go ahead of you, and he will be with you, He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (Deut. 31:6 NLT) In every step of the way, God will be with us. “The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.” (Psalms 121:8 NLT) He continues telling us: “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrete you do not know about things to come.” (Isaiah 33:3 NLT) The best of all is that, “The eyes of the LORD watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.” (Psalms 34:15 NLT)
We need to recognize that the LORD is our rock, our rock in whom we find protection. He is our shield, your shield and my shield the power that saves us whenever we call upon Him let us always call and cry to God at the time of distress, He will hear us, he will hear you and he will hear me from his sanctuary a place where our help comes from and our hope is in Him.
God has spoken plainly to us to you and to me many times, I hope and trust all of us have heard Him many times. God says what He means and He means what He says! God’s word does not return void when it goes out. It bears fruits. It accomplishes what God wants and intends it for. The goodness of our God is that He knows the end of the matter from its source. The LORD keeps watch over us every minute of the hour as we come and as we go both now and forever.
Let us commit our actions to the LORD and our plans will succeed. The LORD has promised, He will fulfill the promise of being with us always.
We are reminded by Paul the Apostle of Jesus that let us not get tired of doing what is good, at just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
It was September 3, 2023. We heard a distress call from a family which was in great need of support from friends because of the pressing needs they had. I accompanied a friend and the means of transport to that place was a motorbike. The distance from where I live and that place is 14 kilometres. The mission was to raise funds.
We ended the exercise at about 5.30 pm. We then started our journey back to the places we came from. While we were on the road, the wind started blowing heavily at the same time rain also continued raining, trees broke, roofs of some houses were carried away, electricity posts were broken, electric cables were hanging across the road, darkness was already on. With heavy rain and the wind blowing terribly, I started riding the motorbike to my home. Along the way there were branches of trees, the iron sheets from the roofs of the houses which were blown by Heavy wind.
Along the road, there were electricity cables crossing the road because the posts which hold the cables were broken due to heavy wind and rain. I was riding the motorbike at the speed of 40 kilometres per hour. In the twinkling of an eye in front of me with my passengerseated behind me was electricity cable crossing the road. Breaks could not be of help at all. I know it was the hand of God that saved me. I did not or could not have time to do something to save myself. Jesus acted swiftly by pushing my head down under that electricity cable, and still the cable brushed my bald head while the motorbike was still moving at the speed it was moving at. If my head had not been pushed downbelow the electricity cable, then my throat would have been cut, and if the cable could be having power (electricity), my chances of surviving would have been nil. I will say of the LORD, as the Psalmist of old, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God; in Him I trust.” (Psalms 91:2 NIV). I stood for a while to meditate what could have happened to me and my passenger!! We would have been electrocuted or my throat would have been cut and that would have been instant death.
The Living God we serve is able to save us from any danger, from any type or kind of life destruction. I have proved it beyond reasonable doubt. For me: “’Tis is so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His word; just to rest upon His promise; just to know thus, saith the Lord.” (‘Tis so Sweet to Trust in Jesus by Louisa M. R. Stead)
Praise be the God in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
With you in the gospel.
