Set Me on Fire

“In the same way, let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

(Matthew 5:16 ESV)

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”

(James 5:16 ESV)

There’s a song called, “Start a Fire” by Unspoken:

“Start a fire in my soul.
Fan the flame and make it grow.
So there’s no doubt or denying.
Let it burn so brightly.
That everyone around can see.
That it’s You, that it’s You that we need.
Start a fire in me.”

(Start a Fire by Unspoken)

My desire is for God to start a fire in me so I can better do the job He wants me to do.

What does it mean to start a fire in me? According to AI, “Start a fire in me may also refer to the idea of igniting a fire within oneself, which can symbolize wisdom, knowledge, and power. Some ways to awaken this inner fire include:

1. Focusing on the future instead of the past.
2. Recognizing and celebrating one’s strengths, talents, passions, and values.
3. Understanding what motivates one on a deep level.
4. Aligning important life decisions with one’s essence.

Lord, start a fire in me. I want to be the person You want me to be. I want to do the work You have for me to do. Lord, guide me and show me the things I need to do. Amen.

I want to encourage everyone to ask God what you are supposed to be doing and then do it the best you can.

Have a great day, everyone.
