“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”

(1 John 4:16 ESV)

The service yesterday was different. It was so good. I was sitting back in my corner listening. One of the ladies was talking to God. A statement she made stayed with me. She said, “God, You know all about me, and you still love me.”

Such a powerful statement. I’ve been thinking about that. God knows everything about me. And He doesn’t care what happened in the past. He forgave me and still loves me.

God’s love never changes. His love is endless and everlasting. Imagine that. A love that never changes. A love that never stops no matter what we might do. God shows His love to us every day. He sends beautiful sunrises and sunsets. He puts a rainbow in the sky to renew His covenant with us. God puts people in our path to guide us back when we stray off the path. He might send the most unlikely person, but He will find us and bring us back.

Do you love God? Is your love for Him as everlasting as His is to us? Something to think about. How does God show His love to you?
