“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

“You shall not fear them, for it is the Lord your God who fights for you.”

Have you ever tried to do something and just couldn’t seem to do it? It felt like walking through mud. Every step was an effort.

I have had days like that. I have 12 people I email daily. There are times when it just doesn’t want to copy to the email. I keep trying and eventually get it to work. Or even when I am writing these, it just doesn’t sound right, or an idea just seems to vanish into thin air.

Those are the times I know I am on the right track. I know the devil doesn’t want you to read it. But I have a helper. Jesus goes ahead of me to fight my battles. Sometimes, I think He lets me try to fight some just to make sure I know to give it to Him. Sometimes the mountains in front of me seem so big there is no way around. But we have a bulldozer who will go ahead of us and clear the way. Jesus will bulldoze those mountains if we let Him.

He won’t do it if we don’t ask. Jesus will never go against our free will. So let me encourage you today. Don’t worry or be afraid. Jesus is right there with you. And with Him by your side, you have nothing to fear.
