“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”
(James 1:12 ESV)
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
(Galatians 6:9 ESV)
As of March 22, I will have been writing these for 1460 days or 4 years. Most have basically written themselves, but there are times, like now, I just have no idea.
I will admit that I have wanted to quit more than once. But God said, “Keep going. Feed my sheep.” So on I go.
Perseverance, according to google, is “persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.” An example of perseverance is me finally learning to run a computer program. I taught myself excel. I’m not very good at it, but I can make spreadsheets. I kept at it until I could do it. I love to craft. I find something that looks like fun, and I work at it until I learn it.
We all need to preserve when talking to others about Jesus. Don’t give up. Jesus didn’t give up.
“Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!”
(1 Chronicles 16:11 ESV)
We need to keep seeking God. We need to keep looking for Him until we are in His presence continually. There is no better place to be than in the presence of our Lord. We need to persevere until we achieve that goal.
My advice to you and me. Keep going. Don’t stop. Don’t give up. Jesus is waiting for us just around the corner.
Have a great day, everyone.
